HMS to Perform Post-Payment Clinical Reviews for North Carolina finance.yahoo.com Thursday January 6, 2011 NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- HMS, a wholly owned subsidiary of HMS Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:HMSY), announced today that it will perform post-payment clinical reviews for the state of North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division of Medical Assistance (DMA), under a subcontract to Public Consulting Group (PCG). PCG, a leading provider of public sector consulting and technology solutions, contracts with the State to provide post-payment review services. The scope of HMS’s work consists of verifying the appropriateness of claims submitted to the state’s Medicaid office. HMS will focus initially on claims submitted by personal care service providers, and will expand to other provider types as directed by the State. The scope of work includes all provider types. Prior to this engagement, HMS and PCG have collectively generated over $1 billion in revenue and savings to DHHS since 1994.
