I would word it differently:

Speculation phase based on projections is over.

Doubt of what?

That y2k is going to arrive?

I doubt it.

That valuations of some y2k companies are out of line with present earnings?

Yes.

That y2k companies will make a mint cleaning up the mess?

I don't think so.

Momentum players are bailing. Can't blame them.

Longs?

I believe those that pick the right companies will do just fine.

Which are the right companies?

Your guess is as good as mine, but I believe this sector will find its legs - yet!
