Ted, > Of course that's not true but you love perpetuating a winger urban myth.

You know how many huge snowstorms NYC had to deal with in the past several decades? A lot.

The work crews are almost always on top of the situation, clearing streets quick enough to get the city moving again. Kids almost NEVER get snow days (something that I looked forward to when I was attending grade school in Maryland).

How come THIS year the work crews couldn't keep up?

They got more than 2 feet of snow.....biggest snowstorm in decades. Its as much snow as they get in an entire winter. That's the major reason why removal was not as good as normal. Why don't you check the facts before you spout off? Oh wait........you're a winger. Never mind.

Budget cuts? Climate change? Just unlucky? Or maybe it was a deliberate slowdown. There were many eyewitness reports of public union employees not doing their job during the big snowstorm. It's not hard to put two and two together.

But if you're a liberal whose very sanity relies upon the utopian myth, it's hard to break out of your denial.

Tell one of the chiefs of the NYFD its an urban myth. I am sure he'll get a good laugh off of your silliness.

Even so, the personnel fallout in Bloomberg's administration because of the last storm has already begun.

The chief of the fire department's Emergency Medical Service Command was replaced this week amid investigations that hundreds of ambulances were stranded in the snow and 911 calls became backlogged.
