Market Makers Role???? I've noticed that of the 14.6 million outstanding shares, the market makers own approx 6.8 in Sep 97, which is up from 1.5 in August. Looks like they thought this was a good deal too! That amounts to a 45% ownership of all the outstanding shares. It's hard to believe that they would have accumulated such a significant positon, almost a controlling interest among all the market makers, unless they thought they would ultimately profit from it. They control the price and own almost half the outstanding shares, that sure doesn't give me that warm and fuzzy feeling. Despite it all I'm holding and plan on averaging down.
