A single flash megafab costs $35 billion dollars.

I don't know what Luczo has been smokin', but he is way, way off on the cost of a megafab. It is about $8b. He is right, though, in saying that it will take a lot of megafabs to produce enough flash to replace all of the HDs of the world. It won't happen overnight. Or even in a 3-5 years. People have predicted the demise of tape for about 15 years now, and it still has a role in storage. So will HDs for a long time to come.
