Chip,

Exactly.

Today used cars and trucks have substantial data bases built on them.

Car Fax actually downloads from our quick lube every evening.

Insurance companies report claims and repairs.

Oems have warranty history reports.

We keep a "Real Deal Certification File" and put it up on a PDF file.

If a vehicle has had a minor fender bender and has been repaired properly,it could become an excellent value.Say it was just a fender and a door -repaired with new parts and painted properly. If that car could be purchased 1500.00 cheaper - then an extended warranty could be purchased and for the same money a better guarantee of no repair expense.

This savings would only appeal to some.

The point is full disclosure, defines many market niche.

To buy from a dealer of any type that does not have a certification file - will be an ever increasingly serious mistake. Most likely the realm of a Buy Here Pay Here lot.

It is an interesting transition time - the internet - the great equalizer/informer!
