That brought into focus what has become increasingly clear over the last year: The most exciting innovations today are in smartphones and tablets, not PCs. The most exciting innovations havent been in PC's in a very long time. The move towards tablets just seals the deal. Motorola did have a great show. The laptop dock was a risk but the reviewers seem to really like it. One thing absent from all of the talk about the Xoom or the dock is the price. How big the Xoom/dock will be will depend a great deal on what kind of pricing we see. The price of the iPad effectively forms a ceiling on how much you are going to be able charge consumers.
