a person who belittles education A lot of the regulars here have a depth of understanding in history and economics that far surpasses what's taught in too much of academia. Most colleges and universities have admirable records in the hard sciences. Failed ideologies still prevail wrt proposed government policies. Follow this thread for a few years, check out the occasional references and links. PeopleMark Tim Fowler and Oeconomicus, to name just two, and read their stuff. What you see on the dreaded right wing threads might start coming in to focus.
