Ski, yes, an iPad does all those things. Make sure it is WiFi enabled unless you get an unlimited data plan. I'm in travel mode and posting using my iPhone. IPad does what an iPhone will but with the bigger screen. Any big files I download I try to snag when I'm connected to a wifi network. I'm currently using the Seattle Sheraton's wifi to post this.
