ritholtz.com if i read the log chart correctly, i.e. about 10x (100 to 1000) over 140 years elapsed time, meaning 2% per annum, if and only if one happened to have risk-on/risk-off well enough and managed to stay out of jail for evading tax. iow, a perfect fraud. gold did 3% per annum in real terms over same 140 years?! is my calculation correct and understanding correct? (usd 20 to us$ 1,375 over 140 years elapsed time.
