I use an ISDN connection from my office for internet access. Having to use anything slower than that makes me feel like I'm in the dark ages. The level of performance that I enjoy (and much, much more) will eventually trickle down to the average home user. Content complexity and average connect speed will move up in stages. It will be very much analogous to the way software complexity and PC speeds evolve. So one day there will be a great demand for the kind of network Microsoft is looking to build (and power with their software). And when that day comes, if Microsoft is at the top of the heap, good for them. They were smart. Joe S.
