Islam doesn't grow near as swiftly in the prison systems as it did in the 70s. Now the bulk of the prison inmates are gang members. If not when they arrive, certainly shortly thereafter.

There is concern for Islamic radicalization of prison inmates, however it is not because the Islamic inmate population has increased. It is due to the potential incredible harm that can be done by those who would become radicalized.

In prisons it generally, if not immediately reverts to what they can get in matters of protection, finance and pleasures.
The most successful operate inside and outside the prisons for financial gains. They all want the easy money good life, but few ever achieve it. The leaders do. That is why their are so many factions. If a group sees the frustration of working for a larger group without advancement as soon as they are strong enough they create their own faction which automatically raises their status filling their ranks with a new structure, new leaders and new officers. It goes on and on.

However, back to the point, most inmates in this country don't want to die for the promise of 72 virgins in heaven or a check for their family. They want the reward in the here and now. That isn't to say that they won't cooperate with terror organizations for profit which has been seen for years now in Central and South America. That is why border security is so damned important.

When bombs start going off in malls in this country you can be damned sure they will close the barn door, although most of the horses are already gone.

I find CAIR's poster alarming in that it s in itself and attempt to foster an anti-police anti-American posture within communities of muslims. CAIR is the enemy, I don't mistake that.
