A key question here is the commercial viability of their technology. Our resident Chem E has been rather dubious about the merits of CEP, and apparently with good reason. However, at this point I think we can essentially rule out a BRE-X situation with MLTN- they've gotten too much scrutiny for outright fraud to have gone unnoticed and unexposed. Furthermore, they have reached some level of commercial operation. Will it have it's place in as a technique of hazmat processing?- gotta admit, I'm clueless. But they convinced some customers of the commercial viability of their process. The company is hemorrhaging, and they've been dragged through the mud of publicity. But new technologies often experience considerable difficulties on the road to commercial realization.

This all suggests to me that MLTN may be a worthwhile speculation at this point. Nobody likes 'em: those attracted to their promise have been burned, and the value players have yet to see a reason to invest.
Soo, I may yet plunge in. Only with money I can afford to kiss goodbye, however (which I may be willing to do with some bond mutual fund money I cashed in last week).
