Yes, there are many practical reasons not to invite the O!s.

Will and Kate are admirably trying to keep the occasion relatively small and intimate. Can't be if MO and BO are there.

I don't think the Obamas are stupid enough to pull the race card. Too much at stake.

And if they are snubbing them for comments MO made about Diana and the liberties she took with QEII, well, it is a private affair at the end of the day. There is no reason to invite someone as tactless as MO, if she indeed made the comment.

Plus, the royals will be around long after BO is a private citizen, not entitled to any deference at all.
