Oh, Cronkite had this on his daily news every day for awhile....But in the 60's, the news on TV was at 6:00, for 1/2 hour with the local news either 1/2 hour before or right after the national news.

Now the cables have news running 24/7....

But then too....in the earlier days of early TV, in the 50's we still went to movies once a week, and saw the News of the World as part of the cartoons, news and Movie venue.....those early days had programs with some talent in them...Amos and Andy, Sid Caesar and Imogene Coca, and I loved Omnibus....that was an every week event.

Funny thing, remembering back. We used TV like the movies....We'd watch a program or two, then leave and go play outside, play Red Robin, Kick the Can, or Hide and Seek.....

Our kids today don't have the advantages of imagination that most of us grew up with ....
