Ted, I am convinced that conservatism is based on the mind while liberalism is based on the heart.

That doesn't make sense......altruism as well as selfishness all occur in the brain.

Conservatives like to tell people the way things are. They know how the world works. They are the pragmatists. They are the thinkers.

BS. I am just as pragmatic as any conservative. And there is no evidence that wingers tell it like it is. Wingers tell it like they want it to be.

I called Boehner's office today.........first it took forever to get through. Then the phone system wasn't working properly. And through it all there was a blend of military and patriotic songs. After 25 minutes on hold, I gave up. That's your new speaker's office BTW.

In the meantime, I have called an innumerable number of Dem offices. Every call was handled properly and promptly. Rarely, have I been put on hold.

Over and over, the gap in competency between Dems and wingers is out there for all to see.

Liberals like to tell people the way things ought to be. They are the dreamers, the futurists, the activists. They are the idealists. They are the feelers.

I guess you don't know many liberals. Z and I are hardly dreamers.

That's why it's much easier to be a liberal than a conservative. It takes effort to think with your brain, but feeling is as natural as breathing.

If it were so easy to be a liberal, there would be a lot more of us. In fact, its the opposite....its much easier to be a winger. That's why you abdicated and joined the Rs. That's why the GOP has so many low lifes.
