I remember Huntley-Brinkley and the local news being 15 minutes each in the early days but was surprised to see they didn't change to 30 minutes each until 1963, per Wikipedia.

I wonder what folks who now claim to "have Fox News on all day" would've done back in the '60s. Something a lot more interesting and useful, I would imagine. :)


the news on TV was at 6:00, for 1/2 hour with the local news either 1/2 hour before or right after the national news.
