PV,
My opinion is that the semi-equip BTB numbers
will drop to .90-.95 1st 1/2 of 98 but start
increasing 2nd half. A slow down seems almost
inevitable with the devaluations in foreign
currencies and layoffs starting to occur
in some US companies as reported on CNBC
late today. A correction/mini recession
seems likely for 6-9 months unless things
stabilize overseas. Our exports will be
more expensive overseas which will put pressure on
companies that ship to large overseas
markets or do significant >15-20 % of their
business overseas.

Just my opinion,
BB
