As you've probably figured out, I am in socal too. For the 1992 riots I lived in Van Nuys. Where most of the action was down in South Central, there was quite a bit of stuff going on in Van Nuys too.

But for the most part, it is pretty easy to avoid the bad neighborhoods here in LA. But, considering that the two schools that are no more than 150 yards from my home were locked down a week and a half ago and now the schools in woodland hills....the bad neighbors are impinging on my happy little existence.
