ftth, there is no problem: <the more relevant way to frame the problem is that data use is increasing faster than the last-greatest generation of wireless capex/opex/spectrumex/backhaulex costs are being recovered and profitable to fuel the next round. >

On the contrary, the problem is reducing as data use zooms literally into the stratosphere and beyond [via Globalstar and other satellites].

The more the merrier and the lower the costs. It's like fuel efficient cars - the less fuel they use per kilometre, the more kilometres people can travel and the more functionality they can afford in their vehicles and the more individualized the usage can be [instead of all squeezing into a Yamanote Line equivalent traveling en masse from one destination to another]. Total fuel consumption and data transmission can zoom as efficiency improves.

As a provider of wireless internet via wifi, Zenbu has enough spectrum and the shortage of back-haul will dramatically improve as fibre is strung around New Zealand enabling much more date to pop out via wifi to Lapdocks, Netbooks, Smartbooks, EeePCs, iPads, iPhones, Androids, and maybe even to some Nokia devices.

< the last-greatest generation of wireless capex/opex/spectrumex/backhaulex costs> are being recovered quickly enough with plenty of money available to fund expansion by an order of magnitude or two.

The problem in the Cyberphone industry is their dopey price plans which until recently included the idea "all you can eat". That's like having an "all you can eat" pricing plan at a gas station. People would soon figure out that they could swing by and fill 'er up with a 40,000 litre tank towed behind their Hummer.
