It surprises me how it doesn't get through the minds of the thick people that business doesn't hire unless they need the extra help to expand, provide more services or produce more product. If there is no demand there is simply no incentive to hire unless you are actively attempting to destroy your bottom line.

If simple people need an example just think of under what circumstances you might have to hire a friend at your lemonade stand or to help you cut lawns.

It isn't so you can maintain the same level of business and share the profit.
