And what if that same store had a slew of first time buyers (China, India) who wanted systems in the near future?

The coming and biggest markets are coming from China and India. However, the end users from both countries could not afford the expensive Intel processors or pay premiums for the overpriced Dell PC at all.

These two big virginal markets are to be explored and dominated by Cyrix MediaGX sub-$499 PC in the next five years. By sticking with the technology loser, Intel, Dell is insulated from any new market. Even worse, the world keeps on moving for better and cheaper computing without the participation of Dell. It is not Dell doesn't have the interest. The problem are that Dell has no technology or manufacturing facilities to dance with the change.

Low 10s is reasonable for DELL.
