Iphone isn't a smartphone. It's software. It's called iOS. As far as the hardware, there is the first iPhone, then the iPhone3G, then the iPhone 3GS, then the iPhone 4, then the iPhone 5 etc... All of them are different phones, different hardware. What ties them all together to a general term you like to use as iPhone is the iOS. >>>iPhone is THE best selling smartphone, by far. No it isn't. Android is. By far... and is getting further away.. ;)
