From my perspective, he seems clueless--grasping at anything and everything. His biggest problem, I think, is that he's looking at the economic wreckage of the country and he doesn't fully understand how we got here. It's hard to dig yourself out of a hole if you don't know what factors landed you there.

Do the Reps in power have any better understanding? Not particularly, imo. Time will tell though. The elections have given them a second chance to figure things out.
