Tokyo Nikkei falls more than 2 pct by mid-morning

TOKYO, Nov 13 (Reuters) - The Tokyo stock market's benchmark fell more than two percent in mid-morning trade on Thursday to hit the lowest level in more than two years.

As of 0126 GMT, the Nikkei 225 was down 341.46 points or 2.21 percent at 15,092.71. Its December futures were down 230 at 15,070.

Brokers said that the sell-off which started on the previous day was gaining momentum due to the fall in U.S. stocks overnight.

''The market thinks there is little to look forward to in the economy and that is spurring sales of stocks and the yen,'' a broker at a ''Big Four'' brokerage said.

The dollar was standing at 126 yen at mid-morning Tokyo.
