<<But what if that neighborhood computerstore had a large base of loyal customers
that had future purchasing needs and liked what they were getting at the store? And
what if that same store had a slew of first time buyers (China, India) who wanted
systems in the near future?

The value is much more than just inventory. >>

That is the funniest one I have heard! China and India are clamoring
for DELL brand, high priced pc's! I have a feeling that they
would be great customers for sub 1000 pc's if and only if they
can survive a meltdown in Asia. Dell has not a prayer of a chance
making big inroads in a price conscious China/India.
The winners will be INTC, AMAT, local box makers and (maybe) CPQ. My open invitation to y'all. Sell your DELL and buy intc. Its still a good deal!
best regards
