China cozying up with the US because it is on their own interest toi keep the USD alive. Fine balancing act China is doing:

Keeping Europe from collapsing by putting a cushion under

Portugal, Greece and Spain (next is Ireland)

Investing money in resources in LATAM

Deflecting money to Africa to create purchasing power and grant source of materials

Propping up ASEAN

and now cozying up to the US to kickstart its economy.

China is the mover and the shaker
