Conservative Republican's are often harsh with their children. Liberal Democrats seldom are. We do not believe in it. In Sweden it is agaisnt the law to hit your kid. Should be here. If liberals had their way it would be. You're mixing everything up to make your case. First of all, the Tiger prof is American, not Chinese. Her parents were Chinese and then emigrated to the US before she was born. Secondly, she was not promoting violence but rather discipline. And her comments were exaggerated to some degree to make her book more amusing. Do me a favor and rent the The Joy Luck Club.
