No I would not tell them, I would only inform myself.

""An objective of the program will be to assay the 1,500 m of drilling for the presence of REO. These results will be compared with the historic REO surface contours and evaluated for broad consistency. Pacific intends to confirm the historic exploration results through drilling as soon as possible.""

So they do specifically say they intend to assay and that would be a natural part of DD.

The Dec news does not talk of assays so perhaps in order to close the deal that has been delayed for so long, they are going with this last statement which would be "confirm basic information" as you say.

""Further to news in Stockwatch on Nov. 5, 2010, PAW is pleased to report it has received the geological logs and chip trays from the 973.9-metre reverse-circulation due diligence drill program. The exploration manager, Tim Major, has reviewed this information, and the company is satisfied that the geology and rock type drilled are consistent with those known to host niobium and rare earth mineralization.""
