Hi E! Here's some info. about MOS standard cells and growth rates and LSI's lack of execution:

MOS Standard Cells Growth Rates:

Growth Rate: 1996 38%
Growth Rate: 1997 32%

So think about this E! Half of LSI's business should / ought to have been growing at 35% for the last 2 years. Do you realize how filthy rich we could have been if LSI had even grown 2/3rds as fast as these numbers? To put these pretty amazing numbers in perspective the semis as a group declined last year and could maybe be up no more than 4-7% this year.
