"Have you been a holder of any open ended CEFs this year?" Yes, worse luck! EMO and GTD, which got killed again today and are not sufficiently hedged by my EMF short! (I covered MF much too early, should at least have offered the position to Phil, but I think he was only paying for Thailand, and for rather larger numbers of shares to short). Eliminating the discount is cold comfort when Brazil's market loses 10% per day, before exchange rate loss! But I think it will be bargain-hunting time soon in developing markets. -- Shoe
