By design, I've attempted to include a variety of things in my IRA. The idea was to have some components not be heavily correlated with others. That's a hard thing to do. Here's what the last year has looked like:

The three components I have for "income" are the red line - ACG (AB Income), blue line - CHY (Calamos Conv Hgh) and brown line - VNQ (Vanguard REIT Viper). Even these don't necessarily show non-correlation.

The worst performer for 2010 was DTH (Wisdom Tree EAFE). That isn't a surprise when reviewing Europe's history for the last year. Being that it is the most "dogish" of 2010, it wouldn't surprise me to see it be a better than average performer during 2011.

Best regards, Tom
