Dom, I agree that LEAPs depreciate quickly as the stock dives; but because their lives are longer, there's plenty of time for the investor to do something---whether to Roll-over or add more of them at lower prices to average down his cost of investing. I myself buy LEAPs that are Slightly Out The Money and shift to lower exercise prices as the stock gets lower.
