this newz seems to have set off the monster run now under way...

CWRN: $32,000,000.00 Projected 1st Quarter 2011 Revenues

"HOUSTON, TX -- 12/30/10 -- Cotton & Western Mining, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CWRN) -- Robert L. Cotton, President of Cotton & Western Mining, Inc., says, "The Baja Pacific raw crude iron ore mining project will yield $32,000,000.00 in first quarter revenues as the Company moves November and December finished production to 2011 for sales."

Bob Cotton, the driving force behind the co., has had so many false starts in trying to find "the" iron ore deposit....that it could make for an interesting book....I was an early buyer at close to $1....disappointment after disappointment followed.....the share dilution to finance his venture piled up over the years until I'm not sure how many shares are out....tens or hundreds of billions, I assume....

I recall his Philippine experience, which had him scrambling up a mountain which had no road leading to the supposed mine site....I think the natives sent him on a "wild goose chase" that time....that was just one of many frustrations for Mr. Cotton and the shareholders.....

I exchanged emails with him many times, until I finally got discouraged and gave up, thinking this a lost cause, as prospect after prospect lead nowhere.....but Bob, to his credit, never gave up.....it appears maybe he has found his motherlode.....time will tell, but right now it looks great.....

yes, I bought many more shares in recent weeks....

"the board at iHub (investors hub) is a rich source of information. Back when the company was off the radar, some of the guys there actually visited the mineset and took photos. There is one person that has done extensive writeups on CWRN. This person is forecasting 32-cents this year with one dollar possible this or next.

keep in mind that there is a lot of stock locked up in restricted shares. When Bob did r/split last November, he then gave back these restricted as a dividend of sorts in order to lessen the frustration of doing a r/split. When this happened I says to myself, hmmm, there is something different about this company; never seen that before in my experience with trading penny stocks. So, I bought more on account of this, before knowing much of anything that came out later on iHub.

couple things ahead:

1. can they get rolling prior to a possible collapse of China economy, mood shift, etc. .... what kind of interrim correction we get in SP500, etc....
2. what will Bob do with outstanding shares? He's had some meetings about what to do not only about the restricted shares but the overall shares outstanding. And he has considered perhaps the small executive team forfeiting some of their shares. .... on the iHub board somebody there gets into this topic.
3. when I used to examine this chart prior to the 2009 r/split I saw a gap on the chart $2.49. So, this remains a price I will hold some shares just for the heck of it.

-- something wierd, I have been imagineering lately that iron will become important in material science much in the way carbon is. Look up Graphene on wikipedia; then raremetalblog.com and how carbon is going to reconfigure solar tech. I can imagine iron, carbon and coal being key ingredients going forward. ... I've got reasons for this thinking but they are strange reasons and difficult for me to explain. But perhaps it will jiggle your fine mind and lead to exciting times in the years ahead. ....... what I do is divide my mental focus in three ways: imagineering, practical/logical, analysis. Or something like that, in order to have a variety of approaches to investing."
