CL - If they could modify the Light Knife to do cavity removal, it certainly wouldn't cost $39,000, and I would think that even if it cost as much as $10,000, it would be in a range more affordable by the majority of dentists. (A cost of approx. $2,000 for the Light Knife was mentioned at the annual meeting, but this is for finger-stick blood drawing.)

By the way -- just exactly what are diodes? I've seen pictures of them (on the net), but no explanation. Are they like batteries? What are they made of? Anyone know?
