Peter, I'm a fan of Nick Petreley, I keep up on his infoworld column but I've ben neglecting NCworld. I was ROTFL when I hit this line in the article you ref'd: If the future of the Internet had dawned on Bill Gates before it had occurred to Marc Andreessen, I assure you we'd all be browsing the Web today with Microsoft Internet Expectorator (or at the very least, a product that could easily be described with a word that rhymes with "spit"). The quality of IE would match the quality of Windows. That is, it would not have been an issue. A little mean, but in the Microsoft context, all's fair. Cheers, Dan.
