I suppose people are aware of the popular unrest in Tunisia and, more importantly, Egypt.

Part of what is fueling (so to speak) the unrest in Egypt is higher energy prices, as well as poverty, unemployment and higher food prices. This creates an interesting dilemma for the Persian Gulf oil exporters.

Do they divert some of their oil exports to Egypt to quell any further unrest or do they continue to export to the highest bidder and risk radical elements becoming prominent?

The point of this question is to show how oil supplies may not necessarily go to the highest bidder but rather have to be provided to local or regional groups to prevent political attacks.

It's a new world.
