Hi Costa...About Forrester Research report, here are some comments:

a. From Post #3392 on the next thread:

>>Forrester research report about Novell is crap for two reasons:

1. Oltsik is the one who said that users should stay with NW and not switch to NT in a previous article (I think in June 96). Now, he seems to change his mind and is going full power against Novell. I wonder, Who changed his mind?.

2. In 1988, Forrester Research projected Novell's market share in NOS will drop from 40% to 24% by 1992. Guess what, they have 60% to 65% market share.<<

b. >>Forrester estimates that Novell's revenue will decrease by 25% this fiscal year and continue to decline until 1998 when it settles at around $1 billion.<<

The revenue decrease in FY-96 is mainly due to the discontinued businesses (Word Perfect and Unix). For FY-97, Novell projects that revenues will increase by 15%, and higher thereafter. Let's see who is right.

Regards

Salah
