Things are not as rosy on WS as they seem from the outside.
Last year the problem was: how can you make money front
running if there is nobody left to front run? So, even
Goldman stumbled a bit, and if Goldman did, so did others.

You'd THINK they would make a buck on the FED pushing
equities up 30% in 4 months? They don't. You wonder why.

As for increasing average holding time, from 20 sec to 22
sec, probably flash crash and regulators are to blame, and I
would also like to see how that was calculated. Apparently
there was very little customer activity. Somebody always
holds the crap, WS does all the trading -bg-

So, unless the Fed goes hyper and decides to become perpetual
money printing machine, activity on Wall Street is likely
to die out in the coming years, along with legit volume of
trading. There will be more problems of the same kind,
the market running out of lemmings.
