Oh I love making predictions!
Expected for the week - If the market sinks further but is relatively flat over Wed. and Thurs., look for bulls to come out on Friday. That one is easy! If slide continues at todays pace, stop loss orders will rule. The market will tank. Sorry! But valuations were high.
AAPL is a little different. If the market tanks, it could hit 13, but I'm thinking 15 is likely the worst case. But if the market flat thing happens, expect 18 1/2 or better by Saturday. If I remember correctly, during the Monday Oct. 27 panic flight to liquidity AAPL actually gained 3/8 that day. Now you're not going to try to tell me, instock, that the AAPL observers were sleeping and just didn't notice all the commotion! ... Are you? ... If there was ever a time for AAPL to sink that was it. Grossly unpopular annual report on the 15th! Major losses! Nothing immediately positive on the radar at that time, yet the Apple blossom weathered the frost. Even opened its petals somewhat. Perhaps this eventful El Ni-o year will see Apple blossoms, and fruit... in Winter...
Actually, I think (oops, could be dangerous) the only reason it's down now is because it came on the radar screen for a bit of publicity that was preceeded by expectations that were artfully inflated.
In other words, if the news had been simply press released, the stock would be around 18 1/2. But, that's showbiz!
I still am not ruling out the possibility of a gotcha suprise announcement. These publicity events usually come in pairs.
