There are people who want to have power over people

There are people who prefer that others have power over them so they don't have to take responsibility for their own actions

And there are people who have no desire to have power over other people and who are willing to take responsibility for their own actions.

I am in the third group.

As are quite a few people on this thread.

Which makes us probably the best choices as politicians.

but....we (I) just don't want the job.

And there's a pretty good chance that I wouldn't get through the vetting process. ahem.....
