That is exactly the argument used by the Venusians, and look what happened to them.

I used Antarctica only as an example that snow is not proportionally related directly to cold, and that "real cold" leads to less and not more snow. It will take a while for global warming to expose the underlying rock in Antarctica because the mean ice thickness is about 1 mile. With 70% of the world's fresh water frozen as Antarctic ice, all of Florida will be underwater before you see lots of Antarctic rock.
