I would be curious to see your calculation of the thickness of No. American glaciation. Most "experts" say 700-800 m tops, and that was only over the northern half of the US. Antarctica is bigger.

Doesn't surprise me you forgot about Canada and Greenland, and Europe and Asia. And then perhaps you should consider that Southern glaciation in Antarctica and Southern South America was more extensive 15000 years ago than now. Up here most literature and experts claims a mile or more over the great lakes and Ontario etc.

Antarctic Region. Area: total area: 14,000,000 km2,

Canada area: 9,984,670 sq km

now add Greenland, Arctic, Northern Europe, Asia, and all the extra thickness and lateral extent down south.
