It will be interesting to see if Mubarak's offer not to run for "re-election" placates the mobs. I'm not so sure that it will. But without the backing of the military, they don't have much chance of forcing him out of power right away, and the military generals probably prefer a stable change of power. But I noticed that Jordan's King Abdallah was forced to can that country's government. The dominoes are falling, one by one, and no one really can say what the repercussions will be over time. This "jasmine revolution" could become a positive force, but I truly worry that it will be hijacked by the Islamic militants. Hawk
