To answer your question, I am always careful beginning
of February through mid-August because of weak seasonality.

That said, gold can and did in the past have a spectacular
runs into late May when it topped in late Fall or early
December. We also have Ben, our big ally. By spectacular
I mean a 100% gain for gold stocks in that time frame -
beginning of the year through May. Something no gold
bug wants to miss.

Also note that 2008 gold crash was during a seasonally
strongest period: August-September-October.

So, seasonality must be taken with a grain of salt.
