Examples of what? Of getting guns out of the hands of criminals when millions of them are already armed? I don't see that.

The evidence doesn't support the idea that the rest of the world has less murders because of gun control. Often when they institute stricter control violent crime goes up. Some countries have both more gun control, and more murder. Others have plenty of guns, but low murder rates.

We have more non-gun murders than many other countries, despite the fact that the larger number of guns would act to reduce the number of non-gun murders. It just seems like Americans are more prone to kill than people in many (but far from all) countries.
