I know enough to say it has nowhere near the capability, scalability, and function of NDS (regardless of if and when it is released). NT 4
is barely out, and now NT 5? I do know Gates had a lot of the key trade rag editor's and columnists out on his campus last week for a
"briefing" and a lot of what you have posted here is a regurgitation of what Gates "told" those folk. (That IS true BTW).

Of course they are. That's why they are not making the API's available to Novell (re: an article that was posted here a few days ago), whereas Novell was complaining about that very fact. MSFT doesn't want the port of NDS to NT, (i.e. 3rd party ports). They want TOTAL MSFT product. As far as the "announcements", as far as I'm concerned NDS is here, and anything MSFT says "there going to do" is just another attempt to freeze the market, which is thier typical strategy. In other words, "So what else is new" <G>.

Lastly, yes... Kudos to Eric Hall!
