Despite your fondest hopes solar cells and wind turbines are here to stay to replace that oil sucked greedily out of the ground. I don't care where it comes from as long as it's affordable. I did notice you're real quick to give the pollution created a pass to support your dreams. BTW, the oil companies continue to get subsidies... So do all the solar and wind companies - they should all be forced to stand on their own profits. Carter had nothing to do with peak oil... You're right is was follow administrations and democrats - Jimmy set a side ANWR for oil drilling but libtards wanted peak oil in 1972 so they stopped all drilling in ANWR.
