Many folks are looking at the gains they 'could have had'. If too many learn that lesson, we'll have a tough time sustaining any rally - folks will be trying to jump ship before the other guy. Being an optimistic sort, that kind of thinking, and that kind of market, is a little against my grain. I suppose I should follow your suit and try a bit of shorting (on paper for now). Such would be a start on playing in these markets. It's been quite a good year nonetheless. jg
