Mr. Bug,
Cyrix announces their entry into under $1000 home PC market today. Their price is $500 and the machine will do just about everything you need to get done. Its not a $3000 Gateway but its going to cut into everyones business. The retail price can't continue to decline at a faster rate than the component price without hurting the bottom line of the box makers. IBM's new $999 entry is already overpriced.
